Weaving-beading of Latvian sign bracelets (November 5, 12, 26)
On Saturdays in November, everyone was invited to learn how to bead bracelets in the reading room of the Children's Library. Both big and small girls, as well as mothers and grandmothers, learned the basics of beading and weaving. They learned to make their own looms, chose the Latvian character closest to them and drew it on paper so that later, counting the pearl next to the pearl, they would weave it into the bracelet. Some girls finished their bracelet in the first lesson, others continued this difficult job by coming to the library on a weekday. With care and patience, each participant got a beautiful, homemade bracelet.
