Children's library invites three-year-olds!

Books are indispensable for the growth of a smart, curious, educated and successful next generation of Latvia! Libraries are great places to inspire reading and help your friends grow.

Gulbene Children's Library will start the Book again on Saturdays in March. It is a reading program for young three-year-olds with their parents and grandparents. This is the third time that the program has invited you to the first meeting with the library at the Gulbene Children's Library. Previously, the main mascot of the program in the Gulbene library was Pūčulēns, this time the little readers in the library will be greeted by the tomcat Misins.

Classes will be held four times - on March 4, 11, 18 and 25. The lesson will last one hour. In this lesson, the children will read, work creatively and actively move with their parents and librarians. The class will start at 11.oo.

Parents, if your child is between three and four years old , we invite you to apply for classes until March 2 and spend an exciting Saturday morning in March. We promise that you will not be without surprises, gifts and fun moments!

For information:

"Book Start" addresses and involves families in reading, offers creative and developmental lessons. During the visit to the library, each small participant is given a specially designed set of "Book Start" owls - a backpack, a reading book, a favorite and useful material for parents about reading. Book Start encourages library doors to remain open to the youngest readers.

"Book Start" is a reading promotion program developed by the LNL Children's Literature Center for pre-school children, who takes care of reading pleasure, reading skills, education and personal development, and many Latvian libraries, including the Gulbene Regional Library, are involved in it.
