Gulbene Children's Library - reading CAROUSEL!
The aim of this cycle is to promote reading as an exciting activity for children during the summer months and to acquire the skills to find books that suit their age. The reading of the books will last from June 1 to August 31.
Every reader of the Gulbene Children's Library up to the 9th grade will take part in the reading carousel, who will come to the library according to their age-appropriate books. Of course, the main book reader will be the tomcat Messina, who has promised to come to the library from time to time and tell about the books he has read…
Readers should be ready to answer questions after reading the book, to tell about what they have read. At the end of the summer holidays, the books read will be counted and the most diligent readers will receive delicious prizes. Runcis Misiņš has promised not only to count the books he has read, but also to seriously consult with librarians about the best readers. The main criteria for receiving prizes is to read books appropriate to your age, to learn to tell about them and to be able to find books appropriate for your age on the library shelves.
We really hope that the Book Carousel will turn every summer and maybe not only in the summer! We welcome readers every working day from 10 am to 6 pm. Runcis Brass reminds - in summer the library is closed on Saturdays!
