Place of implementation of Ogre technical school programs in Ranka
The history of Ranka Vocational High School begins on June 18, 1923, when the two-year Ranka National School of Housekeeping was established to promote and build rural culture. At that time the school was located in Ranka Castle.
In 1974, the school moved to the newly built buildings, where it is still located. The name of the school has changed several times over the years. In August 2012, the school was renamed Ranka Vocational High School, from September 1, 2015 to June 30, 2019 it is a structural unit of Valmiera Technical School.
From July 1, 2019, the Ranka school building will be taken over by Gulbene municipality, while vocational education programs will be taken over by Ogre Technical School.
From July 1, 2019, Ranka is the place of implementation of Ogre Technical School programs.
Students have the opportunity to live in a service hotel.
