Jaungulbene Vocational High School (Closed)

In 1940, the 1st Mechanization School in Latvia was founded in Jaungulbene.

The name of the school has changed over time, it has been both the 1st Rural Vocational Technical School and the Agricultural School. By the order of the Ministry of Agriculture of October 22, 1998, Jaungulbene Agricultural School was renamed a vocational secondary school. Since September 1, 2012, the school has changed its name again and has become Jaungulbene Vocational High School.

The following professions can be acquired at the school: Car mechanic, rural tourism services, engineering equipment works and catering services.

All students receive a scholarship during their studies, depending on their learning outcomes.

The school has a canteen and a service hotel with a library.

Students can also work in the following amateur groups: vocal ensemble, vocal instrumental ensemble, dramatic group.

The school also has the following sports sections: athletics, weightlifting, volleyball, basketball, football, floorball and table tennis.

The school also offers classes for young guards and the school's student self-government is active.
