Azanda

Azanda - the left tributary of the Tirza in the western part of Gulbene district, in the lower reaches of the Vidzeme highlands. Length 19 km.

Half of the stream flows through the woods. Upstream almost to the Druviena - Ranka road and downstream from the Druviena border, the river has been excavated and straightened.

Largest tributaries: Sace (11 km), Saltupe ditch (Soltupe); Kubuļupīte and Robežupīte with Krācīte.
The only major settlement in the basin is Druviena; it is separated from the right bank of the river by a ~ 0.5 km wide strip of cultivated meadows.
