In order to create a collection of local music recordings, the project “Music Recordings of Gulbene Local People - a Part of Cultural and Historical Heritage” was developed and implemented. In the collection you can get acquainted with the contribution of locals in the field of choir and popular music.

Our county leader, the excellent choir conductor Imants Kokars, has said that "… without a song in everyday life and without a song in a holiday - common to everyone and everyone's own - the future of our new generation is unthinkable". Time passes, generations change, but the song lives on. Over time, the existing music collections are supplemented by new compositions, new performers, so it is important to preserve these musical values.
