CHILDREN OF HAPPINESS. KOKARIEM - 100

The vision of the young people of Gulbene region about the life and work of Imants and Gido Kokars is reflected in four video short films.

Celebrating the centenary of the legendary choir conductors Imants and Gido Kokars, in the summer of 2021 the project “Children of Happiness. Kokariem - 100 ”identified the contemporaries of the Kokari brothers. A summary of the interviews and materials collected can be seen in the traveling exhibition “Children of Happiness. Kokari - 100 ”, as well as on the home page of Gulbene County Library in the section County -> Digital Exhibitions. The project involved and involved young people from the region, who created four video short films using the unpublished materials and memoirs.

Project “Children of Happiness. Kokari - 100 ”has received support in the cultural project competition announced by the Vidzeme Planning Region“ Vidzeme Culture Program 2021 supported by the Latvian State Forests and the State Cultural Capital Fund ”.
