Tomāss Eduards (1889-?), Teacher, journalist

Born in 1889 in Galgauskas parish, in the family of a manor servant.

Studied at Galgauskas Orthodox Parish and Lutheran Parish School, Stāmeriena and Litene Parish Schools.
Graduated from the Baltic Teachers' Seminar. Worked in schools in Laudona, Riga, Jaungulbene.

He has been a regular contributor to several newspapers and has compiled several textbooks.
Worked in the Latvian Social Democratic Workers' Party. Former member of the People's Council, later Member of the Constitutional Assembly (1918-1920).
He has been socially active - leading choirs, theater performances, participating in various public, cultural, cooperative and school organizations.
