Zemzare Daina (1911 - 1971), linguist

Born in 1911 in Riga.

She lived with her parents in Kharkov, Petrograd. In 1918, he returned to Latvia and studied at the Riga City 2nd Primary School, Riga City 2 Gymnasium, Liepiņa accounting courses, and studied at the University of Latvia.
In 1939 she obtained a master's degree in philology for her diploma thesis "Language Testimonies of Lejasciems Region".

She has worked at the Institute of Folklore of the State University of Latvia, the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Language and Literature, and the Museum of History. Has written and published research on place names, old names,

 

Died in 1971 in Riga, buried in Meža cemetery.
