Zvaigznītis Vilis (1913 - 1997), writer, sculptor

Born on March 8, 1913 in Lizum, Kolangi.

Studied at Lizuma Primary School, Riga 2nd State Gymnasium. Studied at the Faculty of Chemistry of the State University of Latvia. During my studies I earned as a home teacher, teaching chemistry, physics and science. Worked in the candy and chocolate factory "Laima". Compulsory warfare in the Latvian army (1937-1938).

In the autumn of 1944, he was mobilized in the German army and sent to work in Western Poland. After passing the filtration - clarifying the documents, return to the native parish.
Worked in Lizuma distillery, road administration.
He has written poetry and literary descriptions in various publications.

Author of the sculptures "Freezing", "Shepherd Boy", "Trumpeter", "Kennac's Prayer" and others.

Died in 1997.
