Studied at the Cēsis Music School Choral Conductors' Department, Latvian State Conservatory.

Former head of the Latvian Agricultural Men's Choir (1976-1991) "Ozols", conductor of the VEF Culture Palace Mixed Choir "Teika" (1991), conductor of the Aloja Culture House Mixed Choir, Jelgava, Sigulda District House of Culture teachers' choir, chief conductor of Jelgava district.

Died on November 20, 2010.
