Ozols Kārlis (1905 - 1990), musician


Born on October 17, 1905 in Stāmeriena.

Graduated from the trumpet class of the Latvian State Conservatory (1933). He worked in Cēsis as a choir, orchestra conductor, trumpet teacher, singing teacher, led the music high school, and founded the choir “Vidzeme” of the House of Culture.

From 1949 he worked in Liepāja, E. Melngailis Music High School. Former choir conductor in Alsunga district, conductor of Liepaja City Symphony Orchestra.

Head of the Department of Wind Instruments at the Conservatory (1959-1971).

Died in 1990.
