Bertrāna (Melbikse) Ilze (1974), organist

Organist Ilze Bertrāna (Melbikse) was born on December 12, 1974 in Gulbene, into a medical family.

Studied piano and organ at the Gulbene Music School, A. Kalniņa Cēsis Music School, graduating from both specialties. At the beginning of studies at J.Vītols Academy of Music, the organ is chosen. He continued his studies in Sweden, obtaining a master's degree. The first international recognition was won at the Dutch Organ Competition (1996).

She supplemented her knowledge at the Early Music Department of the Paris Conservatory, at the Bologna Regional Conservatory in Bologna. Organized an early music ensemble, performs pedagogical and concert activities.

Currently living in France.
