Vimba Voldemārs (1904 - 1985), painter

Painter Vimba Voldemārs was born on May 31, 1904 in St. Petersburg.

He got his first education in St. Petersburg, took part in drawing classes. After the October Revolution, the Vimbu family returned to Latvia. He first lived in Auguliena, then settled in Stāmeriena.

Graduated from the Academy of Arts, obtained the degree of artist-painter.

He has worked as a decorator at the Opera and Ballet Theater, a teacher at the Jānis Rozentāls Art High School, a teacher at the Academy of Arts, and a combination of decorative designers "Māksla". At the same time, many paintings, landscapes and still lifes have been created, and stained glass has also been created. Member of the Artists' Union since 1944.

Died in 1985.
