Belmane Ausma (1925 - 1989), art historian
Born in 1935 in Gulbene.
Studied at the Faculty of Philology of the State University of Latvia (1945–1949), Cēsis Teachers' Institute (1949–1950), graduated from the Department of Art History and Theory of the Latvian State Academy of Arts (1965).
The first publications on art in 1960.
She has worked at the Museum of Art Abroad (1963–1988), at the same time as a lecturer at the State University of Latvia and the Latvian State Academy of Arts.
In parallel with her work, she has prepared radio and television programs.
Died in 1989 in Jelgava, buried in Raiskums cemetery.
