Zaļkalne Pārsla (1927-1993), sculptor

Born in 1927 in Salaca Parish, Valmiera District

In 1953, she graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Latvian State Academy of Arts. Author of the Priekule Brothers Cemetery sculpture, created the monument to E. Birznieks-Upītis. In 1978, a solo exhibition at the Artists' House featured sculptures created over the past 20 years. The sculptures were created on the following themes: work, space, nature protection, sports. Worked in monumental, memorial and statue sculpture.

A workshop near Mārupīte, which was later sold.

Died in 1993 in Riga, buried in Meža cemetery.
