From the history of the library:
The library was founded in 1947. Mirdza Murjāne (1956-1988) worked in the library for many years.
Rasma Auzāne has been the head of the library since 1990. Graduated from the Technical School of Culture and Education in 1988. Until 1990, she worked in Valka district, St in the library.
The library offers:

• A collection of books and periodicals for children and adults
• Collection of local history materials
• Thematic article clippings and copy folders
• Databases "Letonika" and Lursoft Newspaper Library
• Internet
• Computer services
• Printing, scanning, laminating and copying services
• SBA (Interlibrary Loan)
