After World War II, the library resumed its work in 1947. It was created from donations from residents and books from Litene Primary School Library. V.Mezītis worked here for many years (1959-1986). In 1971, with his creative imagination and non-traditional work, he represented Latvia at the All-Union Exhibition of National Economy Achievements in Moscow. Many Lithuanians have remembered his "talking book" and light newspaper. From May 20, 2016, the library will perform the functions of the Tourist Information Point.
