The library is closed to visitors on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month.

From the history of the library:
In 1924, the Dauksti Education Association was established with a library (350 volumes). The current library was opened on August 1, 1954. The first books were brought from Virāne, Tirza Parish. For many years (1962-1996) the library was managed by Vija Mezīte. After that, the library was managed by Artis Mezītis (1996-2006) and Anda Krima (2007-2016). The library is currently run by Kristīne Mezīte.
