From the history of the library

The Belava Free Library Society was founded in 1908, and its statutes were adopted on January 25, 1909. After World War II, the library resumed its work in March 1947. In 2008, the library moved to new, larger premises. Mary Erlate ran this library from 2001 to 2019. Currently, the head of the library is Inese Paikena.

The library offers:

  • A collection of books and periodicals for children and adults

  • Database "Letonika" and "Lursoft Newspaper Library"

  • Printing, scanning and copying services
  • SBA (Interlibrary Loan)
