Creative tour for strengthening Vidzeme libraries Publicēts: 18.07.2019
By strengthening ourselves, we will do everything we can to strengthen our libraries!
22nd meeting of LBB Vidzeme branch - the conference is over.
We are grateful to the versatile lecturers (Marta Selecka, Gustavs Terzens, Jānis Siliņš, Kristine Om Shanti, Clean Peace Coffee Roastery owners Kalvis and Baiba, Daiga Puķīte, Guna Ezermale, Dzintra Līce, Ligita Smildziņa, Vilis Kasims) who provided their knowledge, experience, observations.
Memorable stories about the most prominent figures in the theater industry have encouraged us to study and connect the modern with the ancient, but not the forgotten, in a way that is interesting to the listener.
The behind-the-scenes of "Literature" allowed us to look at the process of creating dynamic programs and getting to know books - how to make it enjoyable for viewers.
The stories of a woman's search for harmony reminded us that with our attitude and view of things, we attract people we sometimes call "bad".
We appreciated truly high-quality coffee, gaining confirmation of the great value of the work, energy and faith in our life's calling in the product and service.
While dancing through the centuries, we got to know the different influences in the art of dance - in costumes, movements, manners.
In the introduction to the second day of the meeting, we got acquainted and practically tried out the ITC platforms that can provide support in library work.
The master classes allowed us to think about how we can use book bloggers in our work, how we can be inspired by them.
We tried ways to deal with stress before a public speech, to talk to people so that it was warm and pleasant.
We looked at the ability of generations to work together and understand. How important it is not to stop people half-heartedly, but to allow them to speak to the end, thus showing respect for both the speaker and himself.
Thank you to the participants for their active participation and evaluation!
Thank you for financial, physical and moral support to Gulbene municipality, Latvian Librarians' Association, Vecgulbene Manor, Europe Direct information center in Gulbene.
May the experience gained bring joy to both us and our library visitors!
