A seminar on the European Solidarity Corps program is taking place

The seminar on 14 September provided an opportunity to learn about the new European Solidarity Corps program.

During the implementation of this program, organizations and young people (aged 18 to 30) will be able to carry out the following activities:

  • Volunteer work in Latvia or abroad;
  • Paid internship in EU countries;
  • Work in EU countries or Latvia;
  • Solidarity projects in Latvia.

By participating in the program, the organization can not only address societal challenges and contribute to the local community , but also build the organization's capacity and receive financial support for employee training, activities, and project management .

The European Solidarity Corps program will run from 2018 to 2020 with a total funding of € 375,600,000.

Projects can be submitted by any public or private organization (NGO), companies, social enterprises, municipalities and their institutions, public authorities, informal youth groups, etc.).

The first deadline for project applications is 16 October , but it is planned that there will be 3 calls per year in the future.

Thanks to Juta Reķele from the Agency for International Youth Programs for participating in the seminar!
