22nd meeting-conference of LBB Vidzeme branch Publicēts: 1.07.2019
16-17, 2019 The 22nd meeting-conference of the Vidzeme branch of the Latvian Librarians' Association (LBB) “Creative tour for strengthening Vidzeme libraries” will take place in Gulbene, Vecgulbene manor.
The conference is organized by LBB Vidzeme branch in cooperation with Gulbene district library. We are supported by Gulbene municipality, Europe Direct information center in Gulbene, State Culture Capital Fund.
The library is not an institution that performs the same functions. Today, the library is associated with growth, knowledge, new impulses, creativity. In order to increase the quality of library work and promote the growth of librarians, the Vidzeme branch of the LBB invites to take part in a bright adventure. The activities planned in the meeting will delight both those working in the library sector and specialists in related fields.
The first day of the event is divided into 5 tours related to literature, theater, self-growth, exploratory recreation and dance. Literature with Marta Seleckas and Gustavs Terzen will allow to experience the experiences of the leaders of the television program "Literature" during the creation of the program. Theater theater scientist Jānis Siliņš will reveal little-known things about theater in Vidzeme. In the tour of inspiration, getting to know the personality of Kristine Om Shanti , we will try to meet ourselves, find harmony and peace that we are not in this world. On the holiday tour, we will meet the employees of the coffee roastery " Pure Peace " to learn the story of coffee and how to make the best coffee. In the dance tour with Guna Ezermala, we will turn to melodic sounds, steps and revelations about the diversity of dance in different centuries.
The second day will be rich in opportunities to increase professional competencies by listening to a lecture by Daiga Puķīte, the main librarian-methodologist of the Madona County Library, “Using ICT Platforms in Library Work”, as well as participating in 3 master classes. The first master class “Contribution of Vidzeme writers and book blogs as a resource for popularization of literature” will be led by writer Vilis Kasims. The 2nd master class “Intergenerational cooperation in the involvement of society in the formation of the local cultural environment” will be led by a lecturer, lecturer, seminar leader on topics related to communication psychology, andragogy, pedagogy, Dzintra Līce. The 3rd master class “Necessary Skills in Public Speaking, Organizing and Conducting Cultural Events” will be led by theater teacher Ligita Smildziņa.
