Adventure "By bike on the green!"

We like to be there and come back to where we feel good. Traveling, own, wheels, green railway, scenic roads, nature of Latvia - key words that well describe our adventure of the thirtieth of June and the first of July.

The purpose of the trip is to get to know another section of the Green Railway - Ērgļi – Ķeipene. First of all, we had the opportunity to enjoy the manifestation of the human creative spirit in the dome houses of Jaunpiebalga, where master Māris generously shared his experience in building dome houses, inspiring the men of our group. On the second half of the day, we were together with Māri Olti in Ārglii, getting to know the forest, animal tracks, talking, thinking, rejoicing about Latvia's 4 seasons, the diversity of the forest, the big fir trees. However, the biggest surprise in the forest this time was meeting 2 badgers. And the next one was about summer feelings - enjoying the warmth and peace of a summer evening on the lake in a different way - in a transparent boat; cafe at the station with the tastiest coffee in Latvia and wonderful service.

Mountains and valleys, storm clouds had to be overcome so that on the second day we could get to know the unusual river bed on the Ērgļu side - Velna bedra, where we could walk along 30 meters of large stones that have covered the river bed. And then again on the way along the Green Railway until we enter the world of cinema in Ľeipene. And our adventure has a ring-shaped composition - this time the human spirit, in the form of August Stukuts, has made this place something special on the map of Latvia.

All the places we saw were such that we want to return again, because they give the good feeling that Latvia is good, beautiful, that you can see, learn, experience something special here.

And we must also mention lunch. We really liked the Braku porridge and home-baked cupcakes at the Ērgļu Cafe "Kore". Taurupe cafe "Kurmis" had hearty home-cooked food, cooked on a wood-burning stove, as well as personalized and warm service.

And in order for 22 cyclists to be able to experience everything described, people are needed who create the route, write the project. Therefore, we are very grateful to Indra Logina and her assistant Dailim Kadilam for doing what they love.
