An exploratory expedition in Tirza parish

The Gulbene County Library invites you to participate in an expedition on September 17 in Tirza Parish.

The names of several important personalities connected with Tirza parish - this time we will look at the places where such greats as the poet Elza Ķezbere and the opera singer, writer Mariss Vētra were born. Let's learn about the history and inventory of skiing. Then, passing through Druviena, we will return to Tirza parish, now on the side of Aduliena.

What was Baron Karl von Tiesenhausen of Adulien? He lives in the people's memory and yet all kinds of stories about him have been kept silent. The writer Laima Kota will help us unravel the stories of the parish, let's try to uncover the hidden history, listen to the stories that are not yet written in books.

We will try to walk about 8 km this time.

Departure at 10.00 from the Gulbene County Library. Returning to Gulbene around 18.00
