From October 8, the exhibition “Gulbene. 80s ”. The exhibition features 9 stories with photos of events in Gulbene in the 1980s. From them you can learn: how the name of the factory "Mitran" came into being, where a large and affectionate bee was painted and which series of brick houses were built on Nākotnes Street.

The exhibition is digitally complemented by 34 photographs depicting Gulbene's buildings, streets, as well as events in Gulbene in the 1980s. The photographs used in the creation of the exhibition are obtained from the personal albums of the residents, the collections of the Gulbene Regional History and Art Museum and the Gulbene local history database.
The exhibition is also complemented by excerpts from the amateur video of Nikolay Gorkin and Edite Ezerina. The video depicts the daily life of Gulbene, a building, an 11th grade school from September 1 to graduation.

The exhibition is part of the project "Windy Day", reflecting life in Gulbene during the Third Awakening.

The project "Windy Day" is implemented with the support of the target program of the State Cultural Capital Fund "Latvia - 100".
