In the 2023 competition of the European Union (EU) education, training, youth and sports program Erasmus+, organizations have the opportunity to submit project applications and implement diverse activities in the field of sports - staff mobility, partnerships for cooperation, non-profit sports events in Europe and capacity building projects. The program in the field of sports supports projects that promote participation in sports, physical and voluntary activities.

The State Education Development Agency (VIAA) administers personnel mobility in the field of sports, which provides the opportunity for coaches and other sports workers of non-professional and popular sports organizations to go abroad for mobility to improve their competences and qualifications and acquire new skills, thus promoting the development of non-professional and popular sports organizations and their capacities lifting. Within the framework of mobilities, it is possible to implement two types of activities. In the second activity - assignments for coaching or training - participants can conduct sports lessons or trainings and provide training in a national sports organization in another country in order to improve and exchange good practices with foreign colleagues.

78 thousand euros have been allocated for the implementation of the activity in Latvia. Until February 23 at At 13.00 (Latvian time) national sports organizations have the opportunity to submit project applications for learning mobility in the field of sports.
